Meat production is a huge contributor to Climate Change. Emissions from livestock, especially cows, make up nearly 15 percent of global Greenhouse Gases. Each kg of beef consumes 15,500 litres of water and cattle ranching in the Amazon is wiping out huge parts of the rainforest. This must stop. This program intends to create a wave of change in the consumer mindset to adopt sustainable meat alternatives. This program focuses on increasing civic engagement and building leadership skills amongst aspiring civic leaders. It will be conducted in an offline as well as online mode through facilitators contextualizing the course based on the current requirements of budding leaders.

Aspiring Entrepreneurs often lack a holistic support system in the early stages of their entrepreneurial journey.Through this program we intend to actualize and nurture the potential of upcoming and aspiring entrepreneurs, especially women and those from underserved communities. They will get access to incubation opportunites, one on one mentorship and end to end knowledge support on various aspects of entrepreneurship, leadership and management curated by world-renonwed subject experts.

The world generates approximately 57.4 MMT of e-waste, which is equivalent of approximately a 1000 laptops worth of e-waste being generated EVERY SECOND globally. Only about 17% of this e-waste is accounted for, the rest is speculative and its impact on the environment and health is hazardous. The DLC E-waste management program aims to spread awareness on the importance of disposing e-waste in an environmentally friendly manner and facilitate e-waste collection drives across all DLC chapters to enable people to dispose e-waste responsibly.

Hackers attack people worldwide roughly every half a minute. This translates to a cybercrime being committed on an average of 2,244 times per day. The DLC Cyber Harassment Prevention Program presents simple, easy-to-understand resources and tips to help ensure safety and security of vulnerable children, women, elderly and small organisations.

The small producers, (many second and third generations) are vital for cultural gastronomy, preservation of skills and the retention of a country`s true identity. Many of them around the world have lost livelihoods and business caused by uncontrollable trauma and natural disasters DLC is supporting Chef Sans Frontieres to create Chef Ambassadors in every country around the world to assist with the distribution and co-ordination of all items of support. This ensures retention of cultural producers for the benefit of not only our own generation but that of future generations to come.
