2000 – CURRENT – Managing Director / Editor – Travel News Asia – Based in Thailand.
With established print media experience, I ventured into digital and founded the very first website in the world to cover travel industry news on a daily basis. Focusing mainly on Asia Pacific, I cover the airline industry, aviation sector, new technology, hotel industry, NTOs, GDS, airports, airline solutions, air traffic and much more. I have conducted over 700 exclusive and in-depth video interviews with many of the leading VIPs and CEOs within those sectors. Over the years, I have worked and liaised with PR companies and journalists around the world, I have attended all forms of press events from conferences, to trips, to major industry events and launches. I oversee all aspects of the media platform, editorial, revenue and creative strategy. I also work as a consultant to hotels, NTOs, and other companies looking to strengthen their media relations, improve their printed and digital materials, and develop creative new marketing concepts, domestically and internationally.
8/2013-11/2013 – Group Publisher – Panacea Publishing Asia – Based in Hong Kong
In charge of every aspect of three leading international travel magazines (print and digital editions): Business Traveller China, Business Traveller Asia Pacific, and Mix – Asia’s Creative Meetings Magazine. Increased revenue by signing new advertising contracts and developing new markets. Redesigned the look and feel of the magazines as well as the editorial direction to ensure the publications covered the latest topics of interest to corporate travellers.
8/1994 – 2000 – Group Publisher – Eastern Publishing – Based in Thailand, Singapore, and HK.
Managed the editorial, sales and distribution teams of two international travel magazines: ASIA Travel Trade – the oldest travel trade magazine in Asia, and Frequent Traveller magazine, a corporate consumer travel magazine. I helped to develop and launch Frequent Traveller, ensuring that it quickly became one of the leading magazines for business travellers in the region. I successfully managed to get the publication onboard eleven different international airlines as well as in newsstands around the region. I also increased both magazine’s revenue substantially and created new products for the sales team to sell. This job involved an enormous amount of international travel.

4/1994-8/1994 – Financial Planning Services – Midland Bank – Based in Woking, England.
Responsible for the training of direct sales and telesales to the 52 staff of the branch. Also responsible for increasing sales to the existing client base, as well as developing new customers. Studied and passed the Financial Planning Certificate Examination. Midland Bank is now part of HSBC.
1/1992 – 3/1994 – Sales Executive / Financial Planner – Barclays Bank – Based in Paris, France.
Won an award for being the best Sales Executive, a considerable achievement as I was the only foreigner working in the department. I was responsible for the development of sales within Paris for specialised banking services to individuals and corporations. Barclays Bank underwent a major expansion in France at that time with 40 new agencies in Paris alone. My work was mainly conducted in French, but I also handled the bank’s English-speaking clients too. During my time at Barclays, I significantly increased the bank’s client base and revenue.
6/1991 – 12/1992 – Marketing Services Manager, IMT France – Based in Paris, France.
Increased company revenue by sourcing products suitable for distribution within Europe from China and elsewhere. Expanded distribution and increased sales of our own brand of food products to major supermarkets in England, France, and other countries within Europe. In charge of writing all product descriptions and important communications as well as translating them from English to French and French to English, as required.
