Rukn Luthra

A graduate in Economics (Hons) from Hindu College (Delhi University) with a post-graduation in International Marketing & Sales from the International Management Institute (Delhi). Rukn comes with a wealth of experience comprising of thirty years in the field of International Business, with over twenty years specifically associated with wines & spirits.
During his last assignment spanning almost six years, Rukn Luthra was the Managing Director – Indian Subcontinent & Gulf for Remy Cointreau India. He was instrumental and pivotal in building the business and awareness for Remy Cointreau brands in the Indian Subcontinent and Gulf. Rukn also set up a Joint Venture Distillation Company, Remy Sula India Pvt. Ltd and served as its Managing Director. This JV with Sula Vineyards (India’s largest wine company) manufactures India’s most premium grape brandy.
His working career has given him the opportunity to work with some of the finest multinational companies such as Nestle (world’s largest food company), E&J Gallo Winery (world’s largest wine company), Oberoi Group of Hotels, and Pernod Ricard. At Pernod Ricard as AVP, Rukn set up the ‘Nine Hills’ Winery at Nashik and managed the import of BIO brands into India and export of IMFL Whisky brands to the Gulf & Africa.
In 2015, Rukn started his entrepreneurial stint by setting up ‘Fermentras India’ which represents in the Indian Subcontinent region; Loch Lomond Distillery (Scotland), Godet Cognac (France), E&J Gallo Winery (USA), Constellation Brands (USA), Rocky Mountain Barrel Co (USA), Cartagena (Mexico/Canada), Cheval Quancard (Bordeaux France) and Ferraud & Fils (Burgundy France). From time to time, Rukn also provides consultancy services to local wine & spirit companies on Corporate Strategy, Private Labelling, Marketing, Product & Portfolio Development, Brand Building etc.
Rukn is the Vice President of the oldest wine club in India called ‘The Wine Society’ and is a panel member & judge for ‘Sommelier India’
Besides spending quality time with his family, he enjoys reading and listening to music. Rukn has also traveled extensively around the world for work and pleasure.
