Nikunj Bagdia

Born in Mumbai and schooled in Panchgani, Nikunj was always highly academically inclined. During his school days he was a state-level basketball player. After completing his Textile Engineering from DKTE, Ichalkaranji in the year 1998, he took up a job in project consultancy based in Mumbai. He joined the family business in 2000. Later, in the year 2009, He took over the reins
of the business on the demise of his Father. With sheer perseverance and hard-work he has grown the business to becoming the first major textile exporter based out of Ichalkaranji. Over the last 7~8 years the business has grown almost 20 fold and today the company he heads, Ken Enterprises Private Limited, is the most professionally managed, fastest-growing textile manufacturer / exporter in the region. The company also promotes major employment opportunities for women on the shop floor and has very high percentage of working women. His craving for excellence bagged him the prestigious TEXPROCIL award for the highest grey exports from India for the FY16 & FY19 & also for highest employment generation in the MSME sector for the FY19. Within 5 years of starting exports, the company has marketing presence in over 15 countries worldwide. He is a voracious reader and draws inspiration from leaders like, Shivaji Maharaj, Dirubhai Ambani, Honorable PM Shri Narendra Modi, Elon Musk amongst many others. He is also a regular guest lecturer at DKTE. He is an avid cyclist & His adventurous spirit has bagged him a place in the most
prestigious “Guinness World Records” in a group event held at Koh Tao, Thailand in 2016 for “The Longest Underwater Human Chain”.
