Demurrages & Shortages will always carry significant emphasis & will be the prioritized issues in clearances of such consignments but other services namely joint bonding and physical clearances without warehousing of bonded consignments earn their own share of importance.

We have been pioneers of joint bonding whose idea was envisaged by our partners and which was recognised by the Oil Unit of Customs as a necessary facility which would allow two or more Importers to store similar consignment in the same bonded tank. As renting of tanks had always been problematic in Mumbai, this concept was a boon to the Importers.

Besides, we provide consultancy, related to policy matters, various license schemes, tariff, exchange rate fluctuations etc. & which is always an additional bonus that comes as a package of service from our qualified team of partners.

At M/s. Motumal & Co; we endeavour to provide a Single -Window Logistic Solution in clearances of liquid bulk consignments, through our fleet of barges owned by our parallel business firm, M/s. Bay Tankers Pvt. Ltd. These Barges off-load the liquid oil consignments from mother vessels anchorred in mid-stream & transport them to wharf side either for delivery to tank lorries or direct discharge into shore tanks. This way, the mother vessels are released before time without incurring heavy demurrage charges and also, the business turnover stands to benefit immensely.

We arrange for storage tanks within & outside Mumbai limits and at JNPT as well, to meet the Importer’s requirements after giving proper consideration to the consignments status of being under Custom’s bond or duty-paid and also avail of Octroi SN form facilities.

Besides the above, we are striving to provide total installation storage facilities under our own asset capacity & management in the vicinity of Mumbai Port which could possibly circumvent the berthing delays at JNPT and minimize the demurrage charges.
