Mario Winans

Mario Winans is one of the music industry’s most accomplished artists, producers and songwriters. Through his compelling production and thoughtful lyricism, Mario has been blessed with the success of having crafted hits for some of Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B and Gospel music’s most well respected artists. His resume includes names such as Kanye West, Janet Jackson, Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Aretha Franklin, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, Brian McKnight, The Notorious B.I.G., P. Diddy, and of course, his own Winans family.
Mario Winans has had a decorated career as an artist, producer and songwriter. In 1997, he released his critically acclaimed solo debut, Story of My Heart, on Motown Records, which remains a classic amongst R&B fans today. In 2004, he released his incredibly successful 2nd LP, Hurt No More on Bad Boy Records, which included the smash single, “I Don’t Wanna Know” (featuring Enya & P. Diddy), which topped charts around the world, landing in the top 10 in over 15 countries, and continues to be a staple on contemporary R&B and A/C radio worldwide. Hurt No More would go on to become a commercial success, reaching #1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, #2 on the Billboard 200, #3 on the UK’s album chart as well as being certified platinum in over half a dozen countries around the world. Through Hurt No More, Mario would go on to receive a best new artist award at the 2004 Billboard Music Awards and a Grammy nod for best contemporary R&B album at the 2005 Grammy Awards.
Mario has continued to work extensively with countless artists, producing, writing and featuring on songs with Drake, Usher, Eminem, Bruno Mars, Jimmy Page, Carl Thomas, 112, Faith
Evans, Ashanti and Rick Ross. In 2011, Mario produced the Trey Songz’ single “Can’t Be Friends” which topped the R&B charts for 13 weeks along with Executive Producing the critically acclaimed Diddy-Dirty Money album Last Train to Paris. Currently, Mario is producing music featuring The Weeknd, Katy Perry, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar and many more. Over the last couple of years, Mario has donned his executive hat as the Executive Music Producer on Fox’s The Four: Battle For Stardom while continuing to oversee numerous film, television and music productions. Mario’s popularity overseas continues to resonate as he allocates several months every year touring through Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
