Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices and applications today become a rich field for Think Tanks, large corporations, regulatory bodies and NGOs to design new programs, concepts and sustainable CSR models as it is a continuously renewed field. Nonetheless, international models and practices in some countries are referred to as being innovative and creative Whether in design, implementation, measurement, and the social impact that follows.

Due to the Sultanate’s diversity of industries and services from various companies in the market, I think that, this is the time to write the successful stories of companies CSR in their programs and implementations towards sustainable development of the local community or Omani society at large.

Yet, Knowledge today is one of the pillars of the global economy. In short, organizations’ which possesses knowledge has an invaluable intellectual capital and the Sultanate in needs to gain this knowledge from other countries that have a predominant history in this field.

Thus, it is my honor to present a proposal to envision an English book on CSR international best practices in Oman and the rest of world. However, the issuance of this book is not an easy task, but with self-determination, and enthusiastic to write a large part of this book, it will be a good successful story. Co-authors of the book are eminent writers from Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, from Europe; Estonia, Italy as well as from Australia to add their expertise and knowledge in each chapter of the book.

Last but not least, I am pleased to present to you the objectives in writing this book (as shown in Annex(A). In light of the above, May I have the honor to submit the request for financing part of the book. For your kind info, if the financing will be RO 4000, (4) pages of their social responsibility programs would be granted automatically inside the chapter dedicated to companies operating in Oman.

In conclusion, I’m grateful once again to you for your support, encouragement and for your dedicated team who deserve my respect too.
