    Outside of work, he live in Hackney in London. He was Chair of Governors of his local primary and secondary schools and am a fervant believer in local, comprehensive education. He love cycling and, in 2016, completed the Haute Route – 7 days in the Alps tackling 3 Tour de France Cols a day.
