From time immemorial, across the ancient world, across Greece, Rome, Persia and the Asian continent, traditional and natural healing methods have been in vogue. To quote the Global Wellness Institute, ``The tenets of wellness can also be traced to the ancient civilizations of Greece, Rome and Asia, whose historical traditions have indelibly influenced the modern wellness movement`` Ayurveda, a system of wellness originating in our own country, has a rich history. Originally shared as an oral tradition. Ayurveda was recorded more than 5,000 years ago in Sanskrit, in the four sacred texts called the Vedas: Rig Veda, Yajur Veda, Sam Veda, and Atharva Veda. The Ayurvedic system is particularly focused on cleansing (detoxifying) approaches, and uses numerous methods for promoting elimination and relaxation, many of them involving application of medicated oils.

    Gopinath Nair has had a multi-faceted and rewarding career of over 38 years in the Travel and Tourism industry. He has served as Regional Head and CXO level positions in leading brands like American Express TRS, Cox & Kings and Kuoni, and as Founder & CEO of Tourism DNA, based in Bangalore. Has been recipient of many awards and citations including the American Express worldwide Great Performer’s award for outstanding customer service and was member of the chairman’s award for the quality winning team at American express TRS. As soon as the Covid 19 lockdown was announced in March 2020, Gopi quickly got off the blocks to launch AyurDNA. With a sharp focus to make AyurDNA to be a name to reckon with in the wellness and healing space across India and later expand overseas, he is now building a core team with his co-founder Suma Nair to take AyurDNA to the next level. Gopi enjoys reading, writes blogs and is a passionate singer. He also loves travelling, which of course would now have to wait! In Gopi’s words as we launch AyurDNA, my team and I are excited and charged at the prospect of serving a growing number of discerning customers with a wide array of products and services in the traditional and natural wellness and healing disciplines, from Ayurveda to Yoga and Meditation, from Mental health and NLP to an amazing new area of wellness through traditional music and sound vibrations. We are fortunate to have partners like the affable Dr Mathai of iconic Soukya in Bangalore and the CGH properties like Kalari Kovilakom in Palakkad and SwaSwara in Karnataka’s beautiful Gokarna. We are also blessed to have many mental health and Stress Management professionals on-board, including Nithya Rajendran, founder of MusicVriksh , an initiative for wellness through Indian classical music.
