CanKids KidsCan - The National Society for Change for Childhood Cancer in India is a national NGO working across the entire spectrum of Childhood Cancer Care. Through our signature program YANA - You Are Not Alone - we provide holistic support to a child with cancer and the family, from the moment of detection, through diagnosis, treatment, and after. By working in partnership with 121 Cancer hospitals and centers in 53 cities of India, CanKids enables better standards of treatment and care, assessing needs and filling gaps on an ongoing basis, ensuring funding support, providing social support staff, enhancing capacities and driving quality care, research and impact assessment. Through stakeholder engagement and advocacy we aim to ensure that Childhood Cancer is a child health priority in India. CanKids also runs 10 Home Away from Home's (For children and outstation families undergoing treatment in cities), 2 CanShalas (Schools to ensure continuing education during treatment) and 1 Palliative Centre to ensure dignity and care. We touch the lives of 20,000 children with cancer annually.
