Dr. Prema Seshadri

Dr. Prema Seshadri is an International Faculty with one of the largest NGOs, Art of Living, founded 40 years ago by global humanitarian, spiritual leader, and ambassador of peace, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Part of a small team that spearheaded the Art of Living movement in the Gulf and Middle East almost two and a half decades ago and becoming one of the first teachers of the foundation to teach in the region, Dr. Prema Seshadri is a certified teacher of the Art of Living Breathing and Yoga program, several advanced programs, as well as its deep, profound, yet simple meditation technique, the Sahaj Samadhi Meditation.

Apart from taking immense pleasure in teaching and witnessing the transformation in her participants, she has truly enjoyed undertaking challenging service projects in the Middle East that has included reaching out to people to help them find relief from stress and tension and to experience peace, calm and a focus in life.

Before embarking on her journey to know more about her own self and then on to embracing humanity and making unconditional service an integral part of her life, Dr. Prema Seshadri was driven by academics and a career that spanned more than two decades that included training, counselling, and teaching at Zayed University in Dubai.

Dr. Prema Seshadri has many diverse interests. But every interest is woven with one universal theme – an enthusiasm to give one hundred percent to whatever she does and constantly keeping herself open to learning and growing. As a public speaker, she has been invited on many occasions to address various groups on various topics related to personal growth. One of her favorite mediums of communication is through the written word. She has been contributing articles to magazines and newspapers over the years in the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman. She has contributed columns to the “Y” magazine under “Straight from the Heart”, and for “The Woman” (Al Ma’ra) in Oman over many years.

Dr. Prema Seshadri spent a fair period of time in Egypt in the early 2000s to start the Art of Living programs and teach its stress relieving techniques to its populace. Over two decades, she has taught across the length and breadth of the Gulf region before being posted in Lebanon as part of the peace initiative work and reaching out to the people of a country terribly ravaged by strife and tension. While in Lebanon, she taught extensively in Jordan as well.
