    “Amit Paithankar is the Managing Director of Emerson Asia Pacific effective January 2020. In this role, he is responsible for Emerson’s corporate operations and strategic development with focus on the Emerson’s Shared Services business in the South Asia region. He is also in charge of spearheading sustainability related activities in the region through partnership and engagements with government and research institutions, and collaborating with the two business platform to offer innovative and green solutions to our customers.

    In addition to this role, he is a part of Emerson’s global strategy of repositioning functions like IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Research and Development and Legal, which regionally report into him. Important shared services centers engineering and IT centers like Manila Shared Services, Emerson Innovation Center – Pune and Emerson IT Solutions Center – Mohali are all under his leadership.

    He has 17 years of experience in Emerson, holding leadership positions in various areas of operations in different locations. Prior to his current role, he was the Vice President Sales in Asia Pacific Final Control from 2017. He was instrumental in the integration, acquisition and creation of a sales channel which delivers $1 billion annually to Emerson.

    Paithankar began his career in Emerson the Director for Emerson’s Design Engineering Center Pune, India in 2003. He moved as Vice President of the Emerson Innovation Center, still in Pune India in 2006, and as Vice President for Sales in Automation Solutions India in 2011. Six years later, he assumed the role of Vice President and General Manager for Automation Solutions India. In 2017, he was named the Vice President Sales for Final Control in Asia Pacific, where he served for three years.

    Paithankar received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from VJTI, University of Mumbai. He completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration from London School of Business and Finance. “
