Christian Blanckaert is a consultant on management of luxury brands. He was for 14 years Executive Vice President of hermes international. A former President of Cristal Saint Louis and before of Comité Colbert the organization which groups most of luxury brands in France. Before joining the luxury world he was CEO of Bricorama and Thomson distribution. Chairman of Petit Bateau for the last 6 Years he is now board member of Yves Rocher group, Vilbrequin, and Senior Advisor of Eurazeo group. In Italy he is strategic advisor of the Furla Group and for many years was a board member of Moncler . He wrote several books on luxury, the last one with professor Ashok SOM “ roads to luxury , the evolution, markets, and strategies of luxury brands “ Wiley publisher. He is a visiting professor at Essec in paris and singapore , Esa in beyrouth , and was for many years professor at Escp in Paris.
