CA Naveen ND Gupta

Mr. Gupta is the Member of Insolvency Legal Committee, constituted by Ministry of Corporate Affairs for drafting mechanism for Cross Border Insolvency in India under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2018. He is also the Board Member, Audit Advisory Board, Constituted by CA&G of India, 2018-20. As part of his contribution to Government & Policy Making, he is Member of National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards (2018-19) and National Advisory Committee on Valuation Standards constituted by Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.

He has participated and led negotiations across all continents and has traveled extensively to countries including South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Canada, USA, Mexico, UK, France, Italy, Netherland, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovenia, China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, UAE, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Thailand and Hong Kong.

With expertise in Audit, Management Consultancy, Tax Consultancy, Accounting Services, Manpower Management, Secretarial Services, Naveen has also significantly contributed to taxation policies under the Government of India:

∙ Member, Standing Committee on TDS, Central Board of Direct Taxes, Government of India, 2014
∙ Member, Committee to make legislative & administrative framework of the country more effective and capable of handling the new evolving threats to prevent money laundering and countering financing of terrorism, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, 2015
∙ Member, State Level Coordination Committee (SLCC) for NBFC & Unincorporated Bodies for the state of Delhi, Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir, Constituted by Reserve Bank of India, 2013-14

He is also a member of many international bodies including – Member, Board of Confederation of Asia & Pacific Accountants, Manila, 2018-19; Member, Board of South Asian Federation of Accountants, 2018-19 (Apex Body of SAARC) and more. As President of the ICAI, he has promoted international co-operation & globalization of Indian accountancy profession with CPA, Ireland; CPA, Canada; Hongkong Institute of CPA; South Africa Institute of Chartered Accountants and more. He also led global bench-marking of the Indian CA qualification equivalent to Masters in EU from NARIC, UK. He is also Director at several Public Interest entities like Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd., Delhi Stock Exchange Ltd, (Nominated by SEBI) 2009-12 and others.
