Poonam Mehta is the co-founder of AMPM Designs. Hailing from Chennai, Poonam Mehta started designing at a young age, and since then has grown from strength to strength. She graduated from the University of Arts, London and has been in the interior design industry for over years. She excels at making “clutter-free” spaces. Now, she’s known for her opulent vision and meticulous attention to detail. Her affinity with design is notable in her clean aesthetics and unique sense of space. Having worked with famed brands in India, Poonam knows the competitive world of Mumbai inside-out.

The brand’s design ethos stems from a desire to craft exquisite things of lasting beauty, intimately suited to each client’s unique personality and vision. With the advent of the Gauri Khan Design store in Mumbai, demand for custom made designs and spaces increased. This led to the formation of AMPM Designs by Poonam Mehta and her husband Akash Mehta. AMPM Designs specialises in being the creative mastermind behind some of Mumbai’s top luxury boutiques, corporate offices, residential bungalows and commercial spaces.

Poonam says, “A good home depends of course on the client’s style and their taste, but it also has to reflect their personality in order to appeal to such a unique individual. That’s why we make sure that no matter what kind of house or interior design project we take upon ourselves, each will be different from the last because each person is inherently different. That’s our secret to keeping things fresh and from becoming repetitive.”
